Dressing comfortably for your flight doesn't necessarily have to involve spending money on branded items or custom-made outfits. Instead, the outfit you should be putting together involves more a decision of what to wear and what to avoid for the best possible experience.
Here at Vancouver Airport Transportation Service, we understand the necessity for comfort and safety while traveling. Our priority is always our customers, and we strive to provide top-notch service at every single moment.
Just as we constantly ensure that our customers ride in absolute comfort, we also want you to enjoy your flight with these fantastic tips.
Try Wearing a Hoodie
There’s no stated age limit to be able to pull off wearing a hoodie. Not only do they provide you with some much-needed warmth (especially if the temperature’s pretty low), it can also double as an effective ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign when you pull the hood over your head. If you want to be able to take it off easily, you should get one with a full zip front, and if you want to keep your hands warmer, make sure to get the one with a kangaroo pocket.
Choose Simple and Comfortable Shoes
Forget heels as much as possible. You’ll want your feet to stay comfortable during the flight so the flatter the shoes, the better. Athletic footwear is definitely one of the best options for a comfortable and breathable ride. Although open-toed shoes are possible, you might not want to wear them on the flight as some airplanes provide air-conditioning at the floor level, meaning that your feet will get cold easily.
Don’t Stinge on Layers
To really be comfortable anywhere, we’ll have to be neither too hot or too cold. By dressing up with plenty of layering options, we get to pick and choose what to keep on or take off during the flight. It’s also a pretty useful method to save some luggage space. Just remember to wear layers that can easily be taken off as you wouldn’t want to be fighting your way out of your own clothes just to get comfortable.
Get Breathable Fabrics
We sweat all the time. That means you’re going to be sweating the whole flight (even while sitting down). One of the worst things you can wear is fabric that traps moisture onto your own body. Not only will you feel uncomfortable, but you’ll also be rubbing your skin in your own sweat the entire time. Opt for moisture-wicking, man-made fabrics like cotton, silk, and linen so that your skin gets to breathe more easily.
Wear a Long Outerwear
If you’re not into the hoodie option, you can always opt for a long cardigan or jacket instead. It provides a certain amount of protection from the elements and it covers at least two-thirds of our body. Once on the plane, you can also take it off and turn it into a blanket for some extra warmth. Otherwise, you can also roll it up to use as a comfortable makeshift pillow instead.
