Another family-friendly event to look forward to is at Mount Seymour, a snow sports resort just 30 minutes away from downtown Vancouver. Forget stuffy indoor celebrations and opt for Fairmont’s Waterfront Gala Ball instead. Canada Place will be celebrating magnificently, but it’ll also be crowded, so this is a good event to take in the midnight fireworks without constantly bumping shoulders. Here, you’ll get to enjoy two dancing rooms, a photo booth, three (yes, three) balloon drops and a champagne toast.

Au Comptoir New Year’s Eve Menu
Just like last year, Au Comptoir is opening their doors to guests celebrating the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019. Two seating times will be available, one at 5:30 and the other at 8 p.m., so do choose a dining time you would prefer. You’ll be welcomed with a classic Kir Royal cocktail, and dishes to look forward to including poached black cod, maple glazed duck breast, and porcini and chestnut soup.
