Terms and Conditions

Billing

Trips are billed to the customer's credit card or corporate account. Griffin Transportation accepts the following credit cards:

  • American Express
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • Diners Club

If applicable, gratuity is calculated on the base fare, stop time, wait time, and any holiday surcharges will be added and itemized on the customer's billing statement.

 

The following additional charges will be itemized on the client's billing statement when applicable:

  • Parking
  • Ferry Costs
  • Fuel Surcharge/Environmental Fee
  • Cell Phone
  • Holiday Surcharge
  • Administration Fee

 

Certain trips may require an additional fee for meals and/or overnight accommodations for the driver.


Applicable taxes will be charged as required.


All published rates are subject to change without notice. Current rates are confirmed at the time a reservation is made.


All rates are calculated in the local currency and billed in CDN dollars at the prevailing exchange rate.


Due to fluctuation in currency exchange rates, all CDN dollar equivalents of international rates may vary.

Rates

Griffin Transportation has standardized point-to-point rates that provide flat rate pricing for travel within the Lower Mainland.
Vehicle rates for travel between locations in which a point-to-point rate does not exist will be billed at the Griffin Transportation hourly rate. Customers are billed from the time the vehicle leaves the Griffin Transportation facility in Vancouver until the time it returns to the Griffin Transportation facility, with the applicable hourly minimum.


All Reservations that are billed on an hourly basis, will be billed a minimum of thirty minutes travel time each way plus the time the passenger is in the vehicle when pick-up and drop locations are located outside the city of Vancouver.


Fractions of an hour are rounded to nearest 15 minute increment.


Trips starting and finishing between 00:00AM and 4:00AM will be charged an additional 25% of the base fare, stop and waiting time price. This is based on the hourly start time and hourly end time, garage to garage.


Wait Time / Stop Time

For all point-to-point reservations, wait time will be charged at per 15 minute increment once the grace period has elapsed. Grace period is defined as 15 minutes beyond the scheduled pick up time.


Griffin Transportation's abilities to monitor private flights and train schedules are restricted, therefore, wait time will be charged as incurred for any passenger arriving on a private plane that is delayed by more than 15 minutes.


Passenger-requested stops on route during a point-to-point reservation will be charged at $10.00 per stop for sedans, SUVs, vans, and limousines and at $25 per stop for all buses provided that the stop is no longer than 5 minutes; if it exceeds 5 minutes, then waiting time applies.


Passenger-requested stops off route for point-to-point reservations, charges will revert to the Griffin Transportation hourly rate.


Cancellation and No Show Fees

Cancellation of sedans, SUVs, vans and limousines within four hours of scheduled pick-up will result in a full charge equal to the base fare price of the trip plus the gratuity.


Cancellation of sedans, SUVs, vans and limousines within 12 hours of scheduled pick-up will result in 50% charge of the base fare price of the trip plus gratuity.


Cancellation of specialty vehicles such as Mercedes, Executive Van, Executive Bus, Luxury Van, Luxury Bus and Minibus, with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the vehicle hourly minimum.

 

A 'no show' fee equal to the base fare price of the trip plus gratuity plus applicable wait time fee will be charged when the passenger fails to arrive at the designated location.

Holidays

A 25% holiday surcharge, based on the fare, stop and waiting time, will be charged to all trips occurring on any Federal or Provincial Holiday.
Holiday surcharges also apply to additional holidays in locations outside of Canada.


Other

Griffin Transportation Service Inc shall not be liable for circumstances beyond its control including but not limited to weather, road conditions and breakdown of vehicles.
Griffin Transportation Services Inc assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage, personal belongings, or any items left in the vehicle.
